Cleveland Gets #1 Draft Pick in NBA Draft.

Cleveland takes one more step in recovering from " The Decision" last July, by acquiring the number one draft pick in this year's NBA Draft Lottery. Thats the good news. The great news is that along with the number one draft pick, the Cavaliers also will be getting the number 4 draft pick as well. This will certainly be the draft that will define the franchise for years to come.

This season, Cleveland finished with the second worst record at 19-63. Last July, Cleveland loss their best player and arguably the greatest player in the franchise's history when Lebron James decided to"Take his talents to South Beach" and join the Miami Heat, who are currently battling the Chicago Bulls for a spot in the NBA Finals. Along with the loss of James, Cleveland also loss Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Shaquille O' Neal.

Late in the season, the Cavs traded Mo Williams and Jamario Moon to the Los Angeles Clippers for Baron Davis and their first round draft pick. This proved to be a wonderful trade for Cleveland as this was the pick that won the number 1 draft pick in the lottery.

Many are predicting that the Cavs will select Duke point guard Tyree Irving as the number one draft pick. This may not be the case as they already have a good point guard in Baron Davis. Other possible picks include center Enes Kanter and small forwards Kawhi Leonard or Derrick Williams. Whatever they decide, with two of the first five picks in this year's lottery, they will get two good pieces that will could make Cleveland a competitor as fast as next season.

Maybe Dan Gilbert will make good on their promise of Cleveland winning a championship before Lebron does. Only time will tell.
